TELL THE TRUTH

Saturday of the Seventeenth week in Ordinary Time: Year C Matthew 14:1-12 Facing with truth and death which side will you be in? Are you ready and willing to die for the sake of truth? Or will you continue to live and covering up the truth? Nowadays, when you tell the truth you may loose your friends. Folks, let us shame the devil by exposing the truth. Telling someone the truth is a splendid act. Like John the Baptist let us be a messenger and lover of truth. What kind of truth? Truth about morality. John the Baptist upholds the dignity of marriage and condemning the adulterous relationship of Herod and Herodias. He was beheaded because of that. So like John the Baptist let us not be aftraid to speak out the truth even if it endangers our lives. People may hate you as a whistle blower but never mind because what matter most is living in truth. Friends, never tolerate any mistakes of people close to us especially if it concerns morality. Live in truth and be a lover of truth. Death can never silence the truth. Conclusion: Better to be get hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie. Friends, I repeat what I told you before: “telling the truth and making someone cry is better than telling a lie and making someone smile.” Blessings Fr. Jhack
