BE TRANSFORMED
Friday of the Fourth Week of Easter
Year C
John 6:52-59
“Whoever eats me will live.”
The message of today’s gospel is reminding us that Jesus is our life. He gives us His total self. The Eucharist is the real presence of God. Today my dear friends never deprive your soul with this bread from heaven. CCC 1391-97 tells us that “the Eucharist give us an intimate union with Christ. It preserves, increased and renewa the life of grace received at baptism. It separate us from aun and restrict us from future sins. It strenthens unity among members of the church and it strengthens our charity towards the poor.”
Friends, the Jesus that Paul encounter on his way to Damascus is the same Jesus we encounter in the Eucharist. When we encounter Him, he will transform our life. Encounter with Jesus will change us. Like Paul when we encounter Jesus he will transform us from beast to best. From a persecutor to becoming a protector. Saul from a severe persecutor was transformed into most zealous and courageous apostle Paul. Friends, like St. Paul we are on our journey from darkness to light. We may be too sinful now but never be discouraged because we have our guide to the ranks of sainthood and that is the Eucharist. Jesus in the Eucharist will change you little by little everyday.
Blessings
Fr. Jhack
