Wednesday of the Seventeenth week in Ordinary Time: Year C Matthew 13:44-46 The kingdom of God is a treasure as precious as the finest of pearls. It is so valuable that losing everything on earth but getting the kingdom is a happy trade-off. Friends, God’s kingdom is a pearl of great value, find it and make it your most important treasure. The gospel makes it clear that we should not let anything keep us from entering the kingdom of God. If we still value the riches of this world more than the values of God it means we have not really found the Kingdom of God yet. Not all treasures are gold! What is your pearl? Watch it carefully. What is your valuable treasure? Take care of it. What are you seeking for? Today, spent your time in searching for the most expensive and valuable treasure. When you find it get ready to give up and sacrifice everything you have to possess it. Finally, in all adversities there is always in its depth the treasure of spiritual blessing hidden secretly.
